Joy Sikorski
Voice & Piano
Joy Sikorski, a seasoned vocal and piano instructor with over 30 years of professional practice connects her students, young and old, to the highest levels of artistic mastery. This mastery, a subtle balance between music’s tangible and intangible nature, allows students to evoke authentic expressions about how they experience life. A former 2nd grade student said it best: “It’s a wondrous place!”
Her Story
Joy’s core philosophy about music education is simple, yet based on neuroscience, early childhood development research, her training, and experiential knowledge:
• The first melodies and rhythms of life–a mother’s voice and heartbeat–form the foundation for all future musical and verbal expression. Careful training after birth decides how the child will build or not build on that foundation.
